There's no good places to do anything near Spencer. :)

Seriously, you're close to some of the stocked creeks on the Plateau. It's a little late in the year for those now, but we've had a wet summer and you might find some holdover fish. Check the TWRA website for stocking locations. Cane Creek and Laurel Creek are practically on your doorstep. You're about an hour from the Caney and about an hour and a half from the Obey.

hey scrambler...when u move there ask the local amish folk where to fish :D
upper rocky river is good in winter for stocker bows, but your in the prime river system for some big muskies, forget trout. if i were u thats what i would target, even if they are a fish of a thousand casts.
and dont forget fall creek falls !
