I know it is a powerful attract, but does it provide any substantive benefits for the deer in terms of health or antler growth?

"Bigger Antlers
Trace minerals are essential for animals to reach their development potential, and Trophy Rock has 60 naturally occurring trace minerals. Keep Trophy Rock available during the early spring and summer months, and your herd can get a huge benefit.

Healthier Deer
Healthier deer herds yield more trophy bucks, and Trophy Rock can improve your herd's digestion, lactation, cellular function, and bone and antler development.

Successful Hunts
Our dedicated fans will tell you there is no tool more effective at attracting, surveying, and holding deer on your property. Keep the bucks at your place!

Trophy Rock works. Guaranteed.
Try Trophy Rock for yourself and see what countless others have seen it just plain works."

Claims too That's straight from the website.

I've used a ton of different products over the years that are legal in tn to hunt over. I've had the best results from Trophy Rock by far, nothing else really compares. I've had deer come into other products and actually look at it like "what's that junk" lol. Trophy Rock is legit.

There is no scientific evidence providing minerals to free-ranging deer does anything measurable.

Exactly!! Salt/Mineral blocks are great attractants but have never been found to provide any measurable gains for deer.

Thank you, that is exactly what I wanted to know. Having seen the claims on their site, I wondered if there was independent verification.

I don't care. It attracts deer.

And that's why I maintain salt licks. They provide an exceptionally good location to photo census my local deer population in summer without the real potential negatives of using food-based bait.

and alot cheaper! A deer can go through a 50lb bag of corn in a couple days. A Trophy Rock lasts a very long time.

Exactly, and loose trace mineral salt is even cheaper and works equally well! No better way I know of to attract deer for a photo census like BSK said, works great and costs very little, with no known harm to the deer.

The only caveat would be sandy soil. I've had trouble drawing deer to salt licks in areas where the soil has a high sand content.

It's like the other stuff made 90% salt . Don't see how grow antlers but it's a good attractant .

Habitat and the soil that habitat is growing in "makes" antlers. No scientific evidence that mineral "supplements" do anything for free-ranging deer when it comes to antler growth.
