Years ago, we had a lick out in one of our fields that the deer tore apart. I walked out there to what looked like 4 butts up in the air and they didn't move for several minutes. I thought I was seeing things for a while, until one of them got out of it and stood there. They sure like that salt

I have seen holes straight down on pond banks where we salt cattle but I have never seen a hole that big.
