know a couple friends who owned them and didn't keep them very long..They were Flintlocks and the frizzen were very poorly done..Metal was to soft and did't throw a good spark..Just didn't seem like a real reliable gun to me..If you are looking for a traditional go with a Thompson Center or Lyman and you won't regret it...

I have had one, shot pretty well..... just got tired of the break action and my B-n-L needed a deer gun.... so I sold it to him.

I have one of these....

Shot really well with patched round ball and Lee real bullets out to fifty yards using open sights. I believe most of their stuff is imported. Mine was made in Spain.

I was looking at their web site and noticed that they even have a flintlock designed to use powder pellets. I would be interested in knowing how that works.

Both my dad and I have Traditions Pursuit XLTs. Like stik said, basic ML, nothing fancy, but I've got no complaints. Never had a misfire, and killed every deer I've shot at. Meets my needs, so I'll keep hunting with it.

mine was horrible. the ram rod was bent when it was bought and neither traditions or bps would honor the warantee, bought one no worries. then it cane apart at the trigger, just flat broke for no reason. i know i shouldve caught the bent rod, but it ruined me on traditions

used one for 18 years till the drum blew out and I thought I died for about 20 seconds...... wife bought me a TC Hawken and refused to let me fix the Traditions.... both sidelock traditional.... with the TC i havent looked back...tho the Traditions Deer Hunter has many deer to its credit and many fine memories I dont think I trust the design of the Traditions drum to breech transition point...too much preasure at the 90 degree turn.... best of luck in whatever you choose

Had a youth model one when I was a kid. Misfired about every other shot. I will never own another one.
