track first deer with my dog

Well dad shot his first doe of the season and lost blood trail so thought this would be great training with my lab well we picked up the blood trail and she took off on the lead like a rocket we finally lost blood and she went to using that great nose man that was cool watching my own dog work long story short she would the deer that had been shot way back and it was still alive it jumped up and ran we lost the deer due to it not stopping but all in all I think the dog did a great job for her first tracking job hopefully we will have more but with better out come

roscoe has found a couple for us. did you notify TWRA that you were tracking with a dog?

Yes I notify them and left bow in truck and dog stayed on the lead I think I was following the rules

good deal. the reason I asked is that the first time we used him I wasn't aware that I had to notify them. I didn't get in trouble but was informed of the rules.
