Thinking I may have the chance to get out there tomorrow around 1/1:30. Should I hunt one stand looking out into a big field or hunt one of the stands in the woods?

I'm in the same boat. I have fields planted where I'm seeing lots of does but havent seen a single sign of chasing nor hint of a shooter buck. I'm thinking of moving into the woods about 40 yards off my fields to try and catch one slipping around the edges.

I'm getting pics of mature bucks making scrapes just inside the edges of the woods around my food plots. The does are starting to feed on the red oak acorns because most of the whites are gone or rotten now. Mainly using the plots at night. Never seen very much movement with an east wind for some reason.

Same here. Lots of does hitting the plots but no bucks. Figure I'll keep hunting where the does are and hopefully the bucks will come to them.

Every time I've hunted this season has been from a new stand in the woods that seemed like a hot spot on camera before ML season. Every sit since ML opened hasn't been what I saw on camera. Seen a young doe, 1 spike three times, and a 6pt that wasn't a shooter. So I was thinking of switching it up and hitting the field. Also this would keep me from putting my scent at the new stand because I plan on hitting it Saturday morning.

I moved off my fields a week or 2 ago and it's paid off. Only pics of shooters I've gotten in the fields is in the middle of the night.

I hunt only woods and have either seen or killed a deer from every stand I have hunted. I had a tremendous mast crop and still have a few reds producing.
