It was indeed hot, but we did get some cloud cover at times, but the wind was pretty steady, in that it blew constantly, but at different velocities, making it hard to catch the drops. I'm happy that I was finally able to stay somewhat focused this time around, but still didn't perform as well as I had hoped to. This match paid 1st and 2nd place for each round. First round I shot a 236 USBR score, but tied another guy for 1st, and I lost out on the tiebreaker by X count, by 1 X, dropping me to 2nd place. 
2nd round, I tied for 1st again, and again lost the tiebreaker, by 1 X again! That put me in 2nd place for that round as well. 3rd round was at 100 yards, and I dropped out on that one by hitting one of the bulls twice, (lose that score and your highest score to boot as the penalty, ouch!) so I was of no consequence in that round. Bonus round I shot a decent 230 KYL but man a few of those guys were on fire and broke 300, two of them actually with a 300 and 310, which is hammering! Kudos to those guys as they shot lights out that last round. Overall pretty satisfied that I was able to get back in the mix and be competitive finally. Still have a lot of work to do, but for now I'm going to drink plenty of water, and eat a plate of ibuprofen for supper.

The last pics are from a shoot-off between two guys who tied on the 3rd round. Sudden death, shoot till one misses the dot, or till the first dot is hit. Pretty exciting!
Yeah right, check out the front rest on the far bench, that rest itself costs more than my rifle I'm sure!Looks like both are shooting cheap rifles
In all honesty, Anna and I are pretty bummed about her knee problems and looming surgery. Looks like we won't be able to compete this season at all. Hopefully next season
And that's one of two full custom rifles out there as well, $4000-$4500 IIRC.

By that 3rd round I was really feeling the heat.
It's a Kidd for sure, not sure about the build. He's doing well with it tho, the only semi auto there.
