Hello All, I have lurked here for years and have enjoyed many posts and discussions.
I could use a little help.... I have been drawn for the Nov 2-4 hunt and plan on going this weekend or first of next week to scout. I will be taking my boat, but if somebody could just point me in the right direction I would greatly appreciate it.

If you can get to possum creek cove between the I40 bridge and Eagle Creek, you will have it to yourself. The water has to be up a little to get back in there but it will be worth it.

Ok thanks but looking at the map that would be Duck River Remainder and my permit is for Duck River Bottoms.

Ok sorry, I have only hunted the remainder.

Wow that's depressing! I thank Y'all for the input. BSK, are doe sightings rare or are all deer sightings rare?

It used to be that we wanted to hunt as close to the Refuge as we could get. Deer would come flooding off the Refuge once those quota hunts started. Now, there's no deer to flood off!

I only recently heard of it, but thought about taking a look. Doesn't sound too promising. Hope you are a lucky one, though. Get a big one!!

I take a ride there every 2 weeks or so.I havent seen any noticable decline of deer.I would shy away from good looking spots and hunt places that are hard to get to and thick close to water. They say those big bucks swim the river under pressure to Benton County and Sycamore Landing to the hills and have seen some great bucks in the river.I saw a 10 point this past Feburary that I would estimate 150 so you cant kill one in bed!!!!!!!!!!

It's pathetic out there..

Yup. First, with all the swampy ground (read: midges), that local population was decimated by the EHD outbreak in '07. Then years of Earn-A-Buck really knocked out what was left.
