It's a drive for me too. I have the backwaters of the Chickamauga about 4 miles from my house. I am holding the TX at Watts Bar to get more toward the middle of SE TN. I guess as the crow flies Watts Bar is about 45 miles from my house.

Man I wish dad wouldn't have sold the boat. :(

We will probably have some boaters that are not partnered that will be glad to have a back seater. If you want to back seat just let me know and I will put you on the non-boater list.

Nice idea about the TNdeer.com bass tourney, maybe you can have the next one after turkey season?

Sounds like a lot of fun!

The statewide Turkey season opens the 28th.
Guess you know where I'll be then. :)

Now regarding that 9-lb bass that I would have caught, I want you to catch him. I mean it; I want you to catch him.

My priorities are only slightly different than yours. :D
Yea, but I'm going to have turkey for dinner, and you're throwing back your fish!

Lasso your next Turkey then you can throw it back too. :D That would make for a real good story around the dinner table next deer season. Almost as good as you getting lassoed.

The open tournament format is designed to introduce others to Tndeer.com. We are all ambassadors for hunting and our example either attracts or repels others from joining us.

I thought about limiting it to Tndeer.com forum members only but that would be counter to what we need to be doing right now. We need to build our hunting ranks not build walls around us. Past "Tndeer.com members only" tournaments have been less than successful with very few boats entered.

I would much rather have 25 boats of fisherman that share our love for the outdoors. These are the type of people we can influence and invite into our hunting world. They already have license, they already appreciate the outdoors, they are willing to travel and they are use to extreme weather conditions.

Oh and by the way, we have some top shelf bass fisherman that are also Tndeer.com forum members. Any of these guys could offer a level of competition that most locals would avoid if they recognized them. The locals are not the ones I worry about they just make the pay out a little bigger.

Theres just no way I can afford to pull a boat out there to fish, but I wouldn't use near as much gas if I drove up there without a boat. If someone has a empty spot in your boat I would be happy to fill it up. Or if somebody from the Maryville area drives and needs a co-fisher I'd split gas with you. PM me if anybody needs a hand landin fish ;)

I think it would be great if every region would have a tournament or two. Tophat has discussed having a Tournament on Barkley or Kentucky lake in the fall.

Try to get with some local Tndeer members or just fisherman around the Knoxville area and set one up. I will be glad to set you up a web page on website to promote it.

I think it would be fun to have Tndeer.com Bass Fishing Tour.
