This is advice if you are in a bass boat. (Don't try it in a Kayak). If you are at Skull island you are only a short way from the Sequoyah Nuclear Power Plant. There are some big ledges and some deep water in that area. Just look for the boats stacked up and you will find them. From under the power lines that run across the river you will see some large balls on the power lines. If my memory is correct the 4th ball (may be third) is directly over a big mid river hump. It is usually loaded with fish. The last time I fished it was around 5 years ago. I was using jig and craw, and some shakey heads and caught a bunch of fish.
The rock wall across from Sequoyah has some fish on it too.
