Somewhere thinking about hunting.
I mowed my clover plot the other day but before I did I noticed a huge build up of seeds of warm season grasses & weeds on the deck of the bushhog. I cleaned the top off & underneath it. If I had not it would have been like sowing unwanted grasses in the clover plot.
So sweep or even wash your bushhog off on top and underneath before mowing your clover as to reduce your risk of unwanted weeds and grasses from falling off your mower.
A tip that I thought might be helpful.

how often do you mow it?

Typically clover should be cut about 2-3 times per season, but that depends on your growth rate. This is done to #1 Control competition and #2 Stimulate growth.
