Three must have seasonings for....?

Aside from salt and pepper what (3) seasonings are a must for adding flavor to deer steaks or steaks in general. Just curious what flavors are important to some of you guys.

My wife picked up some deer steak seasoning at bass pro. I love it.

A pinch of thyme works well with a roast. Steaks and chops need only salt, pepper and a little butter IMO.

thyme & oregano are interchangeable, with rosemary a close third
