Food Plots They weren't cut worms in my sunflowers

It is/was Rice Beetles.

This is a first for me.

Local Ag. Extension Agent is probably going to bring in the
experts Monday or Tuesday.

These insects are very destructive very fast.

Correction. They weren't Rice Beetles as verified by UT experimental station in Jackson.

All weather related. The ground had crusted over. As the plants tried to emerge they snapped off instead.

As they always say "every year is different"
