Got a limit of good walleyes this morning at Norris trolling spinners and worms. I've been looking forward to this time of year!

Way to go @Big Pop, nice catch. Never fished Norris for walleye but have striper fished it with downriggers.
Had downriggers on past boats that I used for trout and salmon on Lake Michigan and walleye on Lake Erie. Now walleye fishing Lake Erie, Lake Huron, Lake Cumberland and Lake Dale Hollow with dipsey divers, tru trips, inline planer boards and bottom bouncers or snap weights.

Ever try using lead core?
I really need to stop making excuses for not going out.
I'm in the straight Creek lone Mountain area of Norris.
I have used lead core for walleye, trout and salmon. Also used wire for trout and salmon. Both were more of a pain and required some specialized gear. The gear I've mentioned above makes it easy and can fish down to 70 feet. I use mono and braid.
Had downriggers in the past and that made it easy for fish like lake trout at 70 to 100 feet.

We use lead core for stripe starting this month thru late September on Norris and Cherokee. To me, lead core is easier if you don't have to go below 40 to 50ft. We catch a few walleye while trolling for stripe in the fall. I dont think most of them will go after a 9" lure and we might not be at their depth. What depth are you guys catching them at now when trolling ?

Tennessee River below Watts Bar Dam for the cold weather walleye. And the last two pics were on the Hiawassee River. Got those two recently. Method was trolling crankbaits for all of them.
Thank you sir. Never been to either before. Some day want to go to Chick for some bass
