I shot this one this morning around 6:45. On a golf course, the people that live on the course have been missing some pets lately. I hit him in the rear hips, tore him up pretty good. I tracked him for around 400 yards. the area was getting pretty thick, so i decided to give him some time(about 7 hours). So i went to work for a while. Went back, and after about 15 minutes of tracking I saw him run into a ditch. He ran about 20 yards in the ditch(which is pretty deep with steep sides)and tried to climb the bank on the other side. His rear leg weren't cooperating and couldnt get out. Shot him with my HK 40 cal. pistol. I never in a million years would have thought he would have been alive. he was bleeding heavy the whole time. This is number two on the course. I have a Primos remote call. I worked the call for about 10 minutes, he came in running like he was on rails.

I hope for the homeowners that never happens. They are a blast to hunt. Part of me wishes there were more to hunt. But obviously I dont.

I trailed a pretty constant blood trail for about 500 yards. In some places there were puddles.
