I figured this might get yall fired up. It should be a good next two weeks. This was Dickson county, the doe was definitely in heat.

The 8 had stood in front of me for about 15 minutes at 20 yards with the doe before the young 6 came in and busted them out, they circled back to me and the 8 started grunting when that smaller buck arrived on the scene.

I heard the 8 fight another deer shortly after going past me and I got a picture of him that night alone. I'm not sure what pushed him off the doe, as of right now he is the biggest I have on camera on that farm.

It should be an interesting next couple of weeks.

Good luck

I've learned to get that sound out of a grunt tube, you have to breathe in it like fogging a mirror vs blowing in it. Blowing in a grunt tube is too sharp. Breathing in a grunt tube gets the "derrrrrp" sound correctly.

Great video. Thanks for sharing. It's so much fun to watch a chase like that. People that don't hunt will never understand the excitement you can feel sitting in the woods experiencing nature at its finest.
