Who's ready for this years rut? I know I am with over 11000 acres to hunt on my leases even though I'm new to the land I have confidence I will take my biggest buck ever during this years rut wether on one of my leases or at LBL on the draw hunt. Already told the wife I'm in the woods daylight till dark from the juvenile hunt till end of November. Good luck to all during this years rut

If you hunted that much you would be a dead man.
No I actually do hunt that much. Very blessed to have a job that revolves around deer season no one wants to swim so I'm in the woods. I bust my butt all summer for the month of November work hard to play harder :super:

Heck I thought I was doing good with a week of vacation in the middle of November, best of luck to you. Don't get your hopes too high about a big buck, keep your head down and hunt hard and smart and with a little luck you should have some great time in the woods and maybe bring home a bruiser.

On 2 of my leases it has to be a 6 or better and we have some brutes on camera just hope I can get lucky and be in the right spot at the right time

When I worked I always managed to get off the month of November and part of December. I hunted almost every day. I think because I had to take time off from work I thought I had to make use of every minute of it. Now I'm retired I hunt less than I did then. I pick my time in the woods and don't feel as rushed to have to be there if it doesn't feel right at the time.

So if a 6.5 year old spike or forkie comes by he gets a pass?

While a 1.5 year old 8 point gets killed??

HMMMMM!

Any time you have a score or point restriction on bucks it should be accompanied by at least an "or age 4.5 or better".
Most of them are 3.5 and older again is what I've been told the 2 leases have had this rule for sometime. The buck pictured is on the hit list and has been said to be at least 4.5

Curious about your aging.... Does each hunter guess on the age or is there someone in the club doing the aging and does he have the final say? Is there a penalty for screwing up?

The one pictured is said to be that age per other member that has a history with the deer my first year on lease just happen to get him on camera to me he fits the 3.5 year class. Don't think age is requirement just has to be 6 or better and outside the ears.
