Cooler and lower humidity with chance of rain late in the week. It's shaping up to be a good morning to be in the woods on Saturday. You .22 shooters got your rifles dialed in? I'm more than ready for a new hunting season. Good luck everyone.

I rebuilt the trigger in my .22, very crisp and breaks at 1.5 lbs now. Anxious to see what she'll do Saturday morning. Good luck to all who are going.

I guess you are gonna avoid the Oklahoma land rush at daylight Saturday. :pop:

Best of luck on your limit!

I'm not going to be able to make it Saturday morning, but I'll be after them that evening and again Sunday morning. I'm looking forward to having some fried squirrel and some squirrel pot pie, so I'm carrying the 20 gauge opening weekend.

I look forward to squirrel opener almost as much as deer opening. I just love getting after those bushytails. I think it is because I havent been in the woods a lot since turkey season and I need that quiet solace and peace that I find in the woods. It is good for my soul.
Good luck to you guys as well.

Should be a good morning. Got a lot of rain this afternoon in middle Tennessee and still sprinkling this evening. Hope the water drops are still on the leaves at sunrise. It will help to give away their location when the drops fall as the squirrels move through the canopy. Hope to dine on fried squirrel and gravy this weekend. Good luck to the squirrel hunters.
