Tennessee boaters exam

Has anybody on here taken the boaters exam, if so was it technical or common sense questions?

Both, I learned some new things about navigation on the water and also a lot of common sense stuff. It was not difficult, but definitely taught me some things.

I have done it. I did the online version, and it's not difficult but you will need to read the sections to pass it. I had a fair level of nautical knowledge before, but now I realize how little I knew.

why pass? Do you have to take it, or were you just going to take it to learn?

Take a few days, you can do it online at your own pace and its some interesting stuff. Will make you feel safer on the water knowing better how to handle things.

I started it back a year or so ago online.
After about a week of working on it on breaks and lunch I grew tired of it and it seemed it would never end so I just stopped.
Dunno if I was on the actual test or what.

I did learn alot though.

Everyone could learn from it and make boating safer.

Study! When first started almost 50% of takers failed. Too many where thinking it would be a breeze.
