Took my cousin Casey and his cousin on his moms side Randy, we went to Cordell Hull and had a blast, several smaller sized fish than what I am used to shooting but that just makes you a better shot I guess. Randy connected on a decent buff and we couldnt get it in the boat quik enough, then through persistance and tons of teaching and patience I found him another buff right on the bank with its back litterally almost outa the water he thumped it and we got it in. The Cicadas were everywhere as Right Wing said last week the carp were running the banks looking to innocent bugs to fall into the mouths. Ended up with 20 total for the day 19 were mine :D but there again I lost several fish if I woulda got every fish in the boat I stuck I woulda clear 40 easy I have been having trouble lately with fish getting off, new heads and everything????

if you want to catch some bass at the lake just take that zoom lizard (i like the 8") and throw it next to every log or stick you see at cordell and you'll catch some bass, could be one of them great big ones!

also i noticed that most the carp i have seen on cordell have been smaller but on dale hollow saturday i bet we saw 100 of them suckers over 20 lbs. i was wishing i had my bow rigged back up and in the boat with me.

if you want to go after these big ones then you need to go to the back of the wolf river and ill will creek. when you get back in these 2 places you will see a bunch of flooded willows and all these fish were floating in those bushes.

Dang and you said dale hollow?
Might head that way this week thanks
yep and you won't have to worry about all the pleasure boats back in those areas.

you might get ahold of a couple of huge ones that have scales missing. i tried to snag some with my jig and ripped a couple of scales off. had one on for a few seconds but he got gone in a hurry.
