I came into possession of some lamb. Two days ago I put a bunch of trimmings and bones into a big stock pot and added some salt, pepper, onions, rosemary, and covered it with water. I let it simmer until the bones began to break apart, strained it, chilled it, and scooped out the solidified fat. Homemade lamb stock.
I took another 2 pounds of boneless lamb, carrots, parsnips, potatoes, a little cabbage, salt, pepper, thyme and put it in the slow cooker. I covered that with the lamb stock I made.
As of now it has been in the cooker for about 8 hours and we've got random Irishmen knocking on our door.
