T/c 50 cal barrel

What would it cost to replace a barrel on a 45 t/c Hawkens with a 50 cal barrel and would it just be a drop in replacement ??

Green Mountain used to sell drop in barrels but stopped a few years back. Some times you can find them for around $200 +

Your best bet is to look for a used factory barrel on eBay. As long as you insure that it is a Hawken barrel, and not a Renegade, it will drop right in. Thompson Center used 15/16 inch barrels for both 45 and 50 caliber Hawkens. Depending on the condition, you're looking at $75+ for a beater, up to $200 for one in brand new condition.

Check with Tip Curtis he's located just North of Nashville. He may still have some GM barrels. His ad & phone number is in Muzzle Blast magazine. Sorry I don't have a copy handy or I would post it for you.
