Do any of you know if swapping cards from one manufacturer to another will harm a camera?

I would suspect it defiantly could. I went to check my cameras today and two of them had different cards in them. A couple of the other guys that hunt the farm took the liberty to swap my cards out so they could look at what was on my cameras, and now both of the cameras aren't working. I haven't had a single issue out of these cameras until now. I went into the cards to see what was programmed on them and they both had several different manufactures in the system. I always use one card for my cameras and check them in the field. I know with my reconyx your not supposed to even mix up the batteries.

Let me know if any of you have had this issue from swapping cards from multiple cameras.

It absolutely does matter with some brands, while other brands do not matter.

My Primos cameras gave me lots of problems using cards that had been used in Moultrie cameras until I did a full format of the cards on my computer, not the format option you can do on the camera itself.

On the other hand, I accidentally put a card with Primos pics into my Bushnell and had no problems whatsoever.

So it is a good practice to not mix cards among different brands of cameras.

I swap different brand cards in my old ReconyX with no problems. On my new one both of those cards would have to be formatted through the computer before using. That be all it takes.

Yeah it's different brand cameras, not cards that I'm paying attention to. I would think the different operating systems could harm the cameras. I will have to reset the cards they installed and see if they work, but I have no clue when I'll get a chance to do that.

I did notice both cards they installed had stealth crap systems in them. I have no idea why they buy that junk, I tell them every season to stay away from those cameras and they never do. They always go through 2-3 a year, and now they probably fried my cameras with their disease!
