Our little mascot this year!

Cute little orphaned doe fawn shot in the face by the neighbors (guessing neighbors made a better shot on mom). Lower jaw on one side was shattered, she caused a lot of angst as most of my hunters wanted to put her put of her misery...

But she maintained coat condition well and fed for hours in this plot all winter (im sure it took her forever to get enough calories). I've kept a close eye on her, and let everyone know if she stops eating or stops maintaining her coat, we would remove her...

Almost 2 months later, she is healing nicely. Pretty proud of how tough she is! (Pic from this morn)

they are resilient! Had a doe with front leg hanging at the end of one season (idiot neighbors) and perfectly healed and bore fawns the next season.
