Surprising day fishing

Dads job today was to keep me away while they set up a surprise party. He calls and ask me to go try a midday fish. The fish were the first surprise in 3 hours we kept 35 with a lot of 13-14" fish and 1 that went 14 1/2" we ran out of minnows and made it back before everyone had showed up for the surprise party for me. I was surprised so it still counts. We never saw another soul while this went on and we were on public water between 12:30 and 3:30.

thanks everyone. The bite was one of the weirdest I have seen. The float would either not move or barely move and when you went to move it their was a fish on. It was like the minnows must have been dropping to the exact depth they were and they just opened their mouths sucked it in and never swam away.
