Is the Summit 180 max worth the extra price over the Viper SD or Viper SDX in your opinion? That surround seat looks to be very comfortable. Any insight is greatly appreciated.

I'd say yes. I have the Summit 180 (not the max) that they quit making and it's great. Once bow season ends I turn the seat around where I'm facing the tree -- being behind the tree add a lot to concealment. The surround seat can be too comfortable ... I've found myself taking an unplanned nap more than once .

180 Max SD is not only more comfortable than a Viper SD. It's a lot bigger. No comparison.

I have the 180XL and the Viper XL. Gave the Viper to my son, the 180 is just a tad bit harder to carry due to the extra length of the upper, but I love the extra room, and the ability to switch the seat facing the tree is a great feature.

My cousin is a big dude and got this stand to replace a viper he was a bit too big for. It's big and roomy, much more so than the viper
