Re: stripe

We usually catch them in the Tn river around the mouths of the creeks. They bite the best around April here and will hit live minnows or about anything shiny. You have to be careful thou. You are allowed 30 stripe but are only allowed 2 hybrid stripe or rock fish. They all look close to the same if you don't know what to look for.

Re: stripe

sorry, the hybrid stripe or rockfish is what im actually after, ive caught stripe before wanting something bigger :)ya i know about the tongue patches and the broken lateral lines,i have learned that much

Re: stripe

the warm-water discharge areas around steam plants are great in the winter. you can catch them all summer below the dams. find the shad, find the stripers.

Re: stripe

Rockfish are probally my favorite fish to catch. I fish for them June through August when they move high up the river. Live bait = trout or big horny heads, aritificial = redfins 90% of the time. They are dang good eating also!
