I only seen really old post concerning batteries and I have questions. I'm fairly new to running a camera. I have a Stealth branded cell camera. It is currently eating batteries. That extreme cold snap/freeze we had I thought was the reason for the last set of batteries. I replaced 8 new Energizer AA batteries 3 weeks ago. Looks like they are dead once again. The location of my camera is not easy to reach, nor do I want to be leaving human scent in the area every month. It is set up for 2 burst shots only, no videos, and send pics once a day. Also, using Verizon comms and have 2-3 bars service on my phone at the given area.
Is this normal for Stealth branded cameras? This is a garbage situation. Help

I have not experienced this. I did however just get the lithium rechargeable battery pack and am excited to try it out. I will say I do not use any video and have a minimal picture setting. Mine lasted from early September through December/jan on standard double a.

There must be some type of issue with this one. Thanks for the comment.

Good suggestion thanks. May do this today.
I had issues with the revolver camera they sent me under the huntstand promo, upgraded huntstand got free camera. Contacted them and they sent me a new one before I even sent the bad one back. They did lag with replies in email exchanges, but they will respond.

I do run a solarpak on a revolver camera, it takes 16 batteries. The batteries in that camera were from the previous year and their level after 5 months this season is unchanged. I just use regular energizers from sams.

If you aren't running lithium batteries i would try that. Alkaline is terrible for cell cams.

My Browning has been running since last July on a set of lithium in the cam and external power extender in a low signal area.
