I have two of them. I got them from Sportsman's Guide for $80 shipped. They are battery hogs. I run them on 12V SLA batteries connected to a solar panel, so battery usage is not an issue for me. I got them to run over mineral sites. I have only been running them for a couple of months, but they are performing well enough so far. They are Stealth Cam's previous generation camera (2012/2013 model). Stealth Cam has new cameras out for 2014. Their new G42NG Black Flash has great specs and is getting really good reviews. Right now it can be had for only $120 shipped. I'm thinking about trying one out for my next cam.
thanks vermin, i hope with lithium batteries they don't die on me as fast. But is the picture quality really 8.0 Megapixels for day time pics, I've heard its not the quality they advertise?
I think the daytime pics are pretty good. Night pics have motion blur if the animal is moving, but that's common with black flash. Video is pretty good. It records sound, which can be neat if the animals make noise.
Pics are not as good as my Covert cams or the pics I've seen from the new Stealth G42NG.
