Starline

No more R-P brass; I have over 4,000 in various calibers. I really like them. I have used Federal, its okay. I think it is brittle. Have used PRVI with no complaints. I used some winchester and tossed them all. Junk. Primer pockets loose after a single firing. Hornady brass has a somehwat disturbing habit of developing cracks in the neck after very few firings. Tossing all these also.

Starline is all I buy now. 223 excluded.

I've been using Starline since mid-80's.
Several different calibers. Never a problem.
I do not use Winchester due to cases splitting in several calibers.

I split 1,000 45 Colt cases with a friend a few years back and have had no problems at all. Also got a few hundred 32-20's and much more recently some 30-30 brass. Starline is good brass. I won't hesitate to buy it again when available. But then I've never really noticed any bad brass from any manufacturer. Most of what people criticize with brass can be corrected with either a pass through a sizing die or neck turning/reaming so I'm always open to buying any brand available.

I just got lucky and found 200 .308 LRP at Brownells to switch over all but one last rifle from Lapua. My 280AI runs Peterson at least until/if Starline decides to make that cartridge. Lapua quality at half the price what's not to like?
