Went out this morning and had a great time. A little windy, but the air was nice. Only got a shot on two and bagged them with a head shot each. These were cutting in red oak, but the beech tree had fresh cuttings all around where they had been cutting beech. The hickory mast in my hunting grounds in Giles County did not do well this year at all. I've heard of other places nearby that had good hickory nut crop. I saw severl other squirrels but never got a clean shot.
