Squirrel Hunting in LBTL

Recently moved in to northern TN and am trying to go squirrel hunting for the first time! I'm not too far from Land Between the Lakes so I was wondering if anyone knew if there are a decent number of squirrel around. From what I've heard, its just a long walk to get in. I'm going to bring a 10/22 if that matters.

Sorry if this is a bit vague or unhelpful, but does anyone have any tips as well? Most of the people that are helping me get into hunting are more big game hunters only, so they said y'all might be able to help me get started.

All you need to do is pretend you are deer hunting and the squirrels will descend upon you! JK, we were there in November for a week and the squirrels were everywhere! I would try sneaking up some of the big creek bottoms. This time of year, you will probably need to sit for a bit and let the woods settle. Don't expect to casually stroll through the woods and see much. We were in area 15 if that helps.
