There is about 150 acres of soybeans that was planted next to the property that I hunt. Saturday when I left I noticed that the soybeans still had not been harvested. It's brown and dead looking now. Is this normal and what would he do with his field of kindling now. Curious!

Normal, yes depending what else needs to be harvested and field conditions. I still got 60ish acres of beans standing yet to come out. When it's cold like it is now the deer will flat pile in that one little bottom...maybe because its somewhat easier pickings than acorns that they have to kind of hunt and peck for. With the rut around the corner bucks are right there with the girls coming to eat but evenings are typically better than mornings or midday.

On our farm in Carroll Co all of the beans on our side and on the adjoining farms have now been harvested, I guess what I'd like to know, is it useless to hunt those fields now that the beans are gone?
