I know many of us have seen foggy54's result with your product in a 3/4 acre strip plot and most seen your post about the test results by the noble foundation about the experiment in oklahoma. I also know there are many of us now ready to test this theory because most of us small land managers are in need of better summer nutrition plots. I know i am ,. and i plan to implement your product into my summer rotation to test it out.
The plot above is 300 ft long x 155 ft wide. Slightly over an acre. It has been planted in crimson, arrowleaf, rape, and oats the past 2 years with a follow up of buckwheat in late june. The ph value is 6.4 at last check and it sits on a ridge flat. My deer density per square mile by camera census is around 24. I also have a 1 acre clover/chicory plot and a 1/2 acre plot of some other annual. I also plant my roads with clover. Habitat improvements are being made every year, some in their 5th year of regrowth. Total acres of property is 85, but native browse is average to slightly above average on neighboring properties. My plan for this year is to plant in just oats, rape, and crimson in september. When this dies out in late may/early june i will go in and break ground and plant your soybeans. Then,. rotate back to a fall annual in mid september. Which variety do you recommend for this test and what is the seeding rate? Any other recommendations?? Also,.. were or how do i get them in tn?
Thanks ,... DC007
