My son has a terrible history with muzzleloaders, but goes when he can, and tries to hunt smart.
It all came together for him at our club Tuesday evening, hunting downwind of a big thicket, he heard this buck sneaking behind him, caught a glimpse at 20 yards, knew it was a shooter, instincts took over.

He texted me BIG buck down. I made a U turn on the way to the gym and started racing his way. He called 15 min later, nervous laughter, giddy with excitement, "it's not a just a big buck papa. It's the biggest buck I've ever seen!"
I broke more speeding laws in the next 45 min than I have in the last few years combined.

Got to club, got to his zone and helped him drag it thru ravine to our SxS

He was over the moon, and I was too. So happy to see his success.

Well done. I really don't like ml's.

Congrats on a great buck.
Am I reading your story correctly; your son calls you papa?
