About a year or two ago I finished the last brick of CCI LR primers I bought for under $10. Now I think the most expensive primers in my collection are the bricks of Fed 215M, box shows just over $30 a brick. To the best of my knowledge bought then in 2011.

Here is more I drug out, the 2400 you see here I bought 2 5lbs little drums of it 40 years ago, still loading out of this one, it was designed for the Hornet cartridge to give it 2400 FPS, it's equally good in 357 Mag, 44 Mag and really good in a 410. All this powder has been in a climate controlled environment. The old Winchester powder 230 I loaded in my 45 ACP the 450 LS I used in both pistol and shotgun. I am not the least bit worried about shooting any of it. The Hercules 21 still has me puzzled tho.

I remember the sweet smell that came out of the purple metal can of duPont IMR 4895, it was heaven sent. And I still enjoy good old Hoppe's today.le

I don't know if this is right but a second look at my 44th edition Lyman manual showed several references to loads using Rx 21. This picture is of data for the 300 win mag...is this perchance Reloader 21?

H4831 WW II Surplus Powder, A friend of mine came over yesterday we got to talking about the old powder I have so we decided to load this H4831 for a 270 Tikka he owns and shoots H4831 in it. I have a 300yd range behind my shop here, so we loaded 3 130gr Ballistic Tips, 4 grains under what the book calls max and shot at 100yds with excellent results. All my older powder has been stored in a climate controlled environment for close to 50 years. I read somewhere if powder is kept in a controlled environment it would keep indefinitely. I believe I bought a lot of this older powder from the Bob Goodman gun shows in Nashville back in the early 70's.
