OK.. was thinking of giving this a try... I heard someone the other day mention this. Are they good to eat? Also, where to go... was thinking under a Dam...

I think below old hickery and I know below cordell hull going down there tomorrow we have brought 5 home this year the biggest 55 to 60 ibs got to stay 100yrds away from dam

Opinions vary on taste. I personally wouldn't feed it to my dog if it's fried. But if baked or pan seared, I'd serve it to God. The only freshwater fish I've ever ate that's texture is more like chicken. It was sooooo good baked. You'd swore you were eating a chicken breast.
Texture wise, it reminds me of cobia if you've ever ate any.

the little bit ive had was fried. tasted like coarse catfish to me. it may be that we fried it with a whole bunch of catfish though. its about the same in texture as gasper goo. i imagine it would be good grilled over some wood coals.
