Slug ??

Done & doing a little playing with an 870 WM with a smooth bore slug barrel. OH my poor shoulder an nose :grin:

Topped with a Rem Saddle Mount wi Redfield/Weaver Rings and an good'ol Widefield 1.5-5 scope,only thing the scope is a bit short on the eye relief for this set up. Any way well pleased with the accuracy @ both 50 and 100 using the Winchester Super X 1oz Rifled and Rackmaster 1-1/8 oz loads both are dead on @ 50 and running 3.5 to 4 low at 100 Rackmaster the higher of the 2.Got some Rem 7/8 oz HV but haven't shot them yet.

Thinking about and likely will adjust the impact up just a bit down the road,but would like to get some ideal of what it would do on a Ballistic Program instead of a guess off the ammo box or company ad's.

Winchester doesn't offer there Slug Load on there Ballistic Cal. and I don't know of any other on line source that might.


Question-

Would any of you guys have at least the BC of any of those Slugs loads above? ( I can run it on my Barnes program if I can get the BC ) or Imput from your set up with them?

Not sure of the bc but sight the slugs in 2.5 inches high at 50 yds. That is pretty standard. Another slug you may want to try is the 1oz fiocchis. They are very accurate. I have never seen them in stores so you will probably have to buy them online. They are around $8 for 10 slugs.

Been a long time since I've seen any of the Fiocchis around myself. Me and Uncle gave a guy a tow home out of Oak Ridge the second year it was hunted.He gave my uncle 2 boxes of them for the tow.
