I bought my TC Omega over 12 years ago. Not long after I got it, the front sling stud popped out. It was screwed directly into the stock. I don't remember if I installed it after buying the muzzleloader, or if it came with it. So I superglued it back in, and no problems since...until tonight. Coming back in from my hunt, it popped back out.
I need it fixed, and super glue doesn't seem like a good option. Is there any reliable home repair I can do on this? Replace with a stud with a longer screw? It is not completely stripped, it just won't screw in snuggly, it turns one way or the other. I guess over time it turned itself out. I'm lucky it didn't land on the scope.
