S2 3x9x40 sits on my 209x50 encore ml. I have shot many magnum charges through it and has performed flawlessly.

I have a 3-12x42 and a 3-9x42 S2 Big Sky, and like them both very much. Clarity of a Zeiss, weight and lines more like a Leupold. Those 2 ,my Miinox, and my Zeiss are my favorite scopes. I don't know much about the regular S2, but if the price were right, it wouldnt scare me off.

What's the Difference besides price in a P 223 and a M 223 made by Nikon? Is it worth that much more? P 223 is comparable in quality to a Pro-staff I've heard...

I aplogize mine isn't a big sky. It's a Sightron S3 6x24x56 with 30mm tube and MIl/Mil adjustments. So far it has given me no problems on my .338 Lapua
