Will ground blinds work for your spot? We've had good luck with blinds made with a piece of hog panel. Cheap and easy.

The ones in these pics are made from aluminum mobile home doors we bought at a salvage sale for $3 apiece. On some we used plywood/tin.

TRHC, I really like that idea of hog panels for the wall of a shooting house. I would want to add some sort of crude bench inside for a shooting rest if it was overlooking a large field. IT's real easy to see a deer that is too far out for an off-hand shot.

And it really wouldn't have to have a top either unless you want to hunt in the rain.

TTH, that is freaking awesome!

The tops on our blinds are held on by cheap u-bolts and the outside is covered by a heavy duty tarp held on by zip ties. We had several that we never got around to putting tops on and they worked just fine as long as it wasn't raining.

Hunter 257W, a 2x6 run crossways thru the panel just behind and below the front window opening makes for a pretty good rear rest for those long shots.
