I have always just found spikes or small shed antlers. Starting on some corn the other day and my wife walks right up on these. Her first. Not bad.

That is for sure good luck finding a matched pair like that for her 1st shed find! I've never found many but then I don't look much because the bucks in my area don't lose their antlers until mid March and by then I've lost my enthusiasm for looking.
