Shedding?

Are coyotes shedding right now?
I took a young male with a real pretty coat. I am looking to make a couple of hats with coyotes.
When I was packing this out, I noticed that there was a large amount of soft, thin hair sticking to my clothes (no mange!).

So, if they are shedding, is it worth the effort to skin this guy out?

Probably something to do with 85 degree days and almost November... probably a little late, but can hang them and brush the coat out before skinning. They should get better later in the year, though.

I still want a really thick, pretty coat (don't we all) for a hat. But I wasn't going to pass up the chance to drop this one.

I agree, man it was hot deer hunting on the juvi hunt. Hottest one I remember.
