Shed hunting Fed Ref

I think I have heard before that you can not shed hunt deer antlers or remove them from a Federal Waterfowl refuge? But can you pick up deer shed antlers on a waterfowl refuge like Long Point or Hatchie?
I enjoy these deer hunts but only get drawn every 2-4 years. I would like to do some scouting around this time of year before the leaves get green.

I was told that you cannot removed any antiquities (sheds, skulls, artifacts) from any Federal Refuges.

I was told by a taxidermist that you can NOT take sheds from federal land.
