What's the max range you'd comfortably shoot that size shot? Love the pattern, may try something like that in my son's youth setup, would make it a lot harder to miss as his max range would be 40 anyway. Is that hevi 8.5s?

No this is tss 8.5

Hevi is 12g/cc
tss is 18g/

I wI'll say this, this stuff will kill turkeys as far as your pattern is acceptable, I won't get into yardage. As long as you have 100/10" it is lethal. At 45 yards it will penetrate the breast and breastbone and exit the other side.

I bet if you open that up to a .670 or .675 it will be even better. I have a buckwild if you want to try it before season. I shot my .660 and the buckwild smoked it.

2.5 ounces ought to hold together out to 90 yards. You did any shooting past 40 to see what holdover would be? What about up close, say 20 yards?

I may have missed it above but what constriction you got in your bottom barrel? I run a 660 on top and 673 on the bottom...just curious as there doesn't seem to be a lot of variability between the barrels. 665 in both?
