Saw a monster today

I went scouting today in a new area very close to my house. I was walking on top of a ridge on thick moss I swear felt like carpet. Wind was right but I was payin attention to the types of trees like looking for persimmons and or chicapin oaks etc. I walked up on a 160+" 10 pt. all by himself......he stood up and we starred each other down for about 20 seconds. He blew and trotted off......he must have been 4.5 or older given he wasn't in a bachelor group.......I was no more than 30 yds from him. I'm getting the dust off the recurve and getting prepared to hunt this year.....I only went one day last year because of work and such......I'm making time this year

i hope you have a great season and you get that buck. I my self have landed some prime land in williamson co 107 acres and for the first time in years I feel i have a place with great potential for a monster as well

I didn't give up the exact location lol ......it's VERY hard to get to......I will definitely only hunt it when the perssimons I found start to drop and the wind is right
