Saving decoys in a flood?

I have a couple ideas in my mind but I was just wondering:

Have any of you done anything in terms of running a line around your spread to "catch" your decoys in the event of a flood and the water rises enough to pull your weights up off the bottom?

Thought maybe I could shorten the learning curve a bit.

Pick em up is the best way

We pick ours up everyday. Got a buddy who hunts an oxbow off the Mississippi that puts a piece of brick and wraps about 40 feet of line around the brick. As the water rises the line will unwrap off the brick.
