they have them in stock here at walmart pretty dang cheap,,been thinking about getting one or something like it to put a cheap scope on to have just to keep out all the time,,sometimes a coyote or something will show itself and be gone by the time I get my safe open..just wanting a truck type gun without the truck,

has anybody tried one of these cheap rifles??

I have not but did handle 1 and the stock is pretty soft. Not real rigid but they say they shoot well. Have you handled 1 yet?

I havent shot one but for the money as long as it will shoot good enough to hit a coyote at 350 is all I need,,and be able to leave it out all the time and if something happens to it,it wont be a great loss of money or sentimental value,,

A guy I work with bought the youth model XL7 in 243 for his daughter. It was MOA out of the box with the 1st load we tried. They make a grown up version in stainless that I wouldn't mind having for a beater/rain gun.

I looked at a display and the magazine was stuck! I don't mean you had to talk to it a little. It would not come out. Next week, they had another display up. I'm not sure where you're located, but I have a Marlin XL7 camo in 270. Right now has a Bushnell Banner Dusk & Dawn 4-12 on it. PM me if you're interested.

My cousin got his son an edge in .243 to hunt with and I don't think he has any compaints so far.
