Anyone have one of these? What is your review of it. I read everwhere about how accurate they are but cosmetically Savage's have never appealed to me $900+ just seems like a lot of money.

You can get a Lilja for less than 1/2 that price-yes it is a Remington barrel.

Sniper, you talking about the entire rifle, right? I've got a 12LRP in 6.5CM that shoots great. It has the HS precision stock and is a overall nice rifle that I've run out to 1250yd. It is not as slick of a fit, finish, feel, and operation as some others may be, but it also cost less. I'm happy with it and would only sell if I ever decided to step up into a custom build.

20 years ago remington built a quality rifle. I purchased a couple of new remington in that 10 years and was not satisfied with either one. Since then, I only buy Savages and have been building custom Savages for a few years. I guess beauty is in the eye of the beholder as I prefer the Savage look. If you buy the Savage, I can't see how you could go wrong. That model 12 will be a large shank action which is stronger than Remington's

I've got several savages, and they all shoot great. No complaints at all. I also really like the accutrigger and adjusting it down lower. Look on gubbroker, buds, slickgun, etc. You may be able to find a better price out there.

I have the lrp in 6.5cm. That thing will do nothing but make whole bigger with factory hornady ammo.
