S&W 629 Hunter Plus questions

Hello guys

Need help, I;ve looking at this revolver to start handgun hunting, is it ported, looks like it is, and if it is has anyone shot it. I have heard that ported handguns are EXTREMELY loud, any truth ??

NO I do not want a TC, I think they are just like a sawed off rifle, my other choice might be the Ruger Super Redhawk

I have a 4" 629...absolutely love it.

Don't know much about Hunter Plus...IMO 44 doesn't need porting.
